What “Yellow” Taught Me about “White”

Below is a Q&A I did with the New York State Writers Institute for Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month. I’ve tried to keep my blogs about history and the facts. This is probably the most personal statement I’ve produced to date. It’s not about the project so much as why I did it. I can’t say it speaks for all Asian Americans, but perhaps my struggle to understand my place in American society faced with issues like race, place, war, peace, justice and injustice might resonate with others.
